Posted on: December 6, 2011

December is finally here and Christmas is around the corner. While browsing my stumble upon account, I found this recipe for santa hat brownies and thought it might be cool to try Santa Hat cupcakes! They will be a great addition to your next christmas party or family get together. It is a fun and cute idea to make and it does not require a lot of baking skills. If you wish to try them using the brownie idea, visit Daisy’s world at

You will need:

24 of your favorite cupcakes, cooled and ready to decorate

8 ounces mascarpone cheese, room temperature

  • Beat butter and mascarpone cheese until light and creamy, about 2 minutes.(use either a stand mixer or hand mixer)

  • Add more sugar, if needed to reach desired consistency and sweetness.

  • Spread a ring of vanilla butter cream on top of each cupcake.
  • Cut off the base of a strawberry so it is flat and place it upside down on each cupcake, pushing slightly to secure in place.
